See what OpenCart 4 documents about a product CSV
OpenCart 4’s public documentation describes the admin product form. The documentation index retrieved on 2 November 2026 lists Adding Products, Product Form Tabs, and Product Management. A product CSV import page is absent from that index. The form page names fields you type in the admin. It does not print a CSV header.
Which OpenCart 4 page actually loaded, and what does it name?
The Product Form Tabs page says the OpenCart 4 product form is a set of tabs. General holds Product Name, Description, Meta Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, and Tags. It marks Product Name and Meta Title required, and it gives each of those General fields a 255-character limit except Description, which it calls unlimited. Data holds Model, Price, Tax Class, Quantity, Minimum Quantity, Stock Status, Location, Date Available, Dimensions, and Weight. The Data table marks Model, Price, Tax Class, Quantity, and Stock Status required. Its examples are TSHIRT-PREM-001, $24.99, Taxable Goods, 50, 1, In Stock, Warehouse A, Shelf 3, 2025-11-06, 30x20x2 cm, and 0.2 kg. The same Data section names SKU, UPC, EAN, ISBN, and MPN as identifier systems on the form. Links marks Categories and Stores required, and Manufacturer, Filters, Downloads, and Related Products optional.
A later validation list on the same page names a shorter required set: product names in all languages, Model/SKU, which must be unique, Price, which must be numeric and positive, and Quantity, which must be numeric. That list does not repeat Tax Class, Stock Status, Meta Title, Categories, or Stores. The page’s format notes say dates use YYYY-MM-DD, prices use a decimal such as 29.99, and images can be JPEG, PNG, or GIF. Its performance guidelines say to keep an image under 500KB, to use 10–15 attributes, and to use 3–5 options. Those sentences describe the form. They are not column titles.
Why the form labels are not a product CSV?
The documentation index is the list of OpenCart 4 admin pages. It includes the product form, variants, identifiers, filters, attributes, and options. It does not include a page for importing products from a CSV. The form page never uses the word CSV. Model on the Data table and Model/SKU in the validation list are two wordings for a value you enter on the form. The page does not choose one of those strings as a column header, and it does not say whether SKU, UPC, EAN, ISBN, or MPN is a separate column.
A supplier file can still be mapped if OpenCart, or an extension you installed, gives you a file. That file’s header is the one to copy. The public docs retrieved for this page do not supply it. Turning Product Name, Model, Price, and Quantity into a header would be a guess, including a guess about the delimiter and about which of the page’s two required lists the importer enforces.

CSV header in the OpenCart 4 docs: none printedHow do you handle a supplier file for an OpenCart 4 catalog?
- Open the product form in the OpenCart 4 admin when you are typing one product. Use the labels on that form. Product Name and Meta Title are required on the General table. Model, Price, Tax Class, Quantity, and Stock Status are required on the Data table. The validation list later on the page names product names, Model/SKU, Price, and Quantity.
- Keep a supplier CSV as your own notes until you have a file from your shop. The documentation index does not give you a product CSV to upload.
- If your admin or an installed extension downloads a product file, map onto the headers in that download. Record the OpenCart version and the date. In Golanto, choose OpenCart. The mapper still opens on Amazon until you change the platform.
- Leave Model, Price, Quantity, SKU, UPC, EAN, ISBN, and MPN as form labels. Do not add them as columns because they appeared on the form page.
- Use the page’s own examples only as form examples. TSHIRT-PREM-001, $24.99, and 2025-11-06 are on the Data table. They are not a sample row from a CSV.
Worked example
A supplier header is not an OpenCart 4 product CSV
model,name,price,quantity
MUG-04,Travel mug,18.00,12These headings are a synthetic supplier sketch. The Product Form Tabs page calls Model, Price, and Quantity fields on the Data tab, and its validation list says Model/SKU, Price, and Quantity. It does not print those words as a CSV header. The page’s own model example is TSHIRT-PREM-001 and its price example is $24.99. Travel mug is not on that page. Do not upload this sketch as an OpenCart import.
What this check cannot establish
Golanto does not log in to OpenCart, install an extension, or decide which form field your shop treats as required. This page uses the OpenCart 4 Product Form Tabs page and the documentation index, retrieved on 2 November 2026. The form page says it was last updated 5 months ago and does not print a calendar date. The index has no product CSV import page, so this page does not invent columns, a delimiter, or an error sentence. The Data table and the validation list do not name the same required fields. This page leaves both lists as the form page printed them. Image types, the 500KB guideline, and the attribute and option counts are performance notes on that page. They are not headers. OpenCart 3 and any extension’s spreadsheet are outside this page.

Common questions
Does OpenCart 4 publish a product CSV column list?
The documentation index retrieved on 2 November 2026 does not list a product CSV import page. Product Form Tabs names Model, Price, Quantity, and the other fields on the admin form. It does not print a header row. Map a file only when your shop or an extension gives you that file.
Is Model the same OpenCart column as SKU?
The form page uses both words and does not settle them into one column. The Data table’s field is Model, with the example TSHIRT-PREM-001. The validation list says Model/SKU must be unique. SKU, UPC, EAN, ISBN, and MPN are identifier systems described on the same Data tab. None of those strings is printed as a CSV header.
