See why OTTO Partner Connect has no product CSV
OTTO’s English onboarding guide says it is not yet possible to upload products via a CSV file in the seller portal. The public registration page says you add items manually in OTTO Partner Connect or upload product details through the OTTO Market API. This is otto.de guidance, not a global product file, and the guide says the Partner Helpdesk inside the portal is preferable to this snapshot.
Can OTTO Partner Connect import a product CSV?
No. The products section of the English onboarding guide says it is not yet possible to upload products via a CSV file in the seller portal. The file says it was last updated in January 2026. The guide also says it is a snapshot modelled on the Partner Helpdesk, and that Partner Helpdesk articles are preferable. That helpdesk is inside OTTO Partner Connect, under Help, after you can log in.
The same products section does not publish a column list, an error code, or a template, because that CSV upload is not available. A supplier spreadsheet is not an OTTO seller-portal import.
How do you create the product instead?
- Treat a supplier CSV as your own notes. Do not upload it to OTTO Partner Connect as a product file.
- Create the product in the partner portal, or send the product details through the OTTO Market API. The registration page names those two paths. This page does not invent API fields.
- The onboarding guide says a product needs at least one image per variant to go live, and that ten images per variant should not be exceeded. The main image is first. The guide also states pixel, file-type, and background limits. This page does not copy those limits into a spreadsheet schema. Further product articles are in Partner Helpdesk under Products.
- In Golanto, choose Otto and record that the destination is manual entry in OTTO Partner Connect or the OTTO Market API, for otto.de, not a portal CSV. Map only against a file you can point to in the current Partner Helpdesk. This page does not supply that file.
Worked example
A supplier CSV is not an OTTO seller-portal import
sku,ean,title
MUG-14,0001234567895,Stoneware mugThis is a synthetic supplier sketch. The English onboarding guide says the seller portal cannot upload products via CSV. Do not rename these headings and upload the file to OTTO Partner Connect.
What this check cannot establish
Golanto does not submit products to OTTO, call the OTTO Market API, or open the Partner Helpdesk. That helpdesk sits behind login in OTTO Partner Connect. This page uses the English onboarding PDF retrieved on 1 November 2026, which says it was last updated in January 2026, and the public registration page retrieved the same day. The guide says Partner Helpdesk articles are more accurate than this snapshot. It is about selling on otto.de, including the German Federal Central Tax Office comparison in onboarding. It is not a product file for another country. No column list or portal error string is stated here, because the guide says the CSV upload does not exist.

Common questions
Where do I create an OTTO product if there is no CSV upload?
In OTTO Partner Connect, by hand, or by sending product details through the OTTO Market API. The public registration page names both. The onboarding guide points further product detail to Partner Helpdesk under Products.
Will a mapped CSV make the product visible on otto.de?
No. The onboarding guide says the seller portal cannot upload products via CSV, and that products stay hidden in the OTTO app and on the OTTO website until salability is established. A mapped file in Golanto is a local column comparison.
