Register products with the Qoo10 Japan Excel form

Which file registers new products on Qoo10 Japan?

It is the Excel form from 商品管理, then 商品の一括登録/修正. On the 一括登録アップロード tab, download 商品情報の登録/修正フォーム. The PDF, marked Update 2021-10, says to register many products together with that Qoo10 Excel form. The QSM guide page dates the same bulk-registration steps 2021.07.27. J・QSM login on the PDF is qsm.qoo10.jp.

Rows 2 through 4 are the column explanations. Do not delete them, and do not type product data into them. The PDF says data entered there is not reflected. The registration PDF says you can register at most 5,000 products, and that a larger allowance is a separate application for up to 50,000. It does not restate a file-size cap.

Which fields does the registration PDF define?

item_number is the product number. The PDF says the system creates it, so a new registration does not need a value. seller_unique_item_id is your own code, at most 100 characters, and it is not shown on the product page. category_number is a 9-digit half-width category code. item_name is the product name, at most 50 characters, and special symbols outside the set the PDF lists are deleted. item_status_Y/N/D is Y for on sale, N for stopped, and D for deleted. price_yen and retail_price_yen are at most 9 half-width digits. quantity is at most 9 half-width digits, and it must be at least 1 when the status is Y. image_main_url is an image URL of at most 200 characters.

The PDF says required items in columns A through Q are the portions shown in red. The text retrieved here does not say which labels are the red ones, so this page does not turn that sentence into a required-column list. Among the fields the text itself marks as conditionally required are a country code when origin is 2, overseas; origin_others, at most 50 characters, when origin is 3, other; a medicine classification when the category is a medicine category; item_weight, at most 2 digits with one decimal place, when the shipping code is overseas shipping; and external_product_id, at most 30 characters, when an identification-code type is entered. The PDF continues through column AV. Read rows 2 through 4 of the file you downloaded for the rest.

How do you map a supplier file onto that form?

1. In the Japan J・QSM account that will receive the products, download 商品情報の登録/修正フォーム. Record the download date. This form is for new registration.
2. In Golanto, choose Qoo10. Record Japan, that the file is the registration form rather than a product-information or price-and-stock download, and the date.
3. Map your columns onto the headers in that form. Leave item_number empty. Leave rows 2 through 4 unchanged.
4. On the upload tab, choose 新規登録, attach the file, and click 一括修正ファイルのアップロード. The PDF uses that button name for a new registration.
5. Open 一括登録アップロード履歴, choose the type and the period, and double-click the row. The PDF says the detail is under アップロード詳細.

Worked example

A supplier price is not yet a yen price on the Japan form

These headings are a supplier sketch. On the Japan registration form, your code can go in seller_unique_item_id, the name in item_name, the selling price in price_yen, and the count in quantity. price_yen is a yen amount of at most 9 digits, not an 18.00 price from another currency. Leave item_number empty. Do not type this row into rows 2 through 4. A product that already exists belongs on the bulk-edit download, not on this form.
