Fill an eBay Seller Hub listing template

eBay bulk listing now uses Seller Hub Reports. eBay’s help says you download a template from Reports, Upload, Get template. Templates saved in the old File Exchange tool are not carried into Reports.

What file does eBay want?

For new inventory, eBay’s reviewed steps are: Reports, Upload, Get template, source Listings, type Create new listings template, then Download. Editing price or quantity uses a different template type. Upload the file back as CSV or XLSX and select that same template type. A file built for one action is not a file for the other.

What does the first column do?

eBay’s uploadable-template guide says each row is one product and the first column decides what the upload does with that row. The other columns describe the listing. Do not delete that action column or reuse a header row from a supplier spreadsheet.

How do you prepare the template?

  1. Download a new template from the eBay site you sell on. A Canada help article is not proof that every country uses the same columns.
  2. In Golanto, choose eBay and record the site, category, and download date.
  3. Map your supplier columns onto the template headers. Leave image URLs blank only on a Create Drafts template. eBay says a normal new listing generally needs hosted image URLs.
  4. Upload it in Seller Hub and download the action report. eBay says the upload can finish while individual rows have still failed.

Golanto does not create eBay listings, host images, or read the action report for you. Category specifics and site rules come from the template for that eBay site. This page does not reproduce File Exchange column names.

No. eBay says templates and scheduled reports from File Exchange are not carried into Seller Hub Reports. Download a new template from Reports.

Does a completed eBay upload mean every row listed?

No. eBay says to download the report after the upload completes and check for rows that failed.
