Upload a Kaufland product-data CSV
Kaufland’s English seller-university page says product data describes the product and has to exist before offer data. Many products are already in the catalogue and are labelled with a unique EAN. Products that are not listed have to be created. The CSV path is a category template you download and upload under Product Data Imports. The page does not say that workbook is the file for every Kaufland country site.
Which Kaufland file holds product data?
It is the category CSV from Product Data Attributes. The page first says to download the CSV product-data template, then to select the relevant category under Product Data Attributes so Seller Portal can create a specific CSV for your products. Upload that file from Offer Management, Manage Imports, Previous imports, on the Product Data Imports tab, with Upload Product Data File.
Offer data is a different file. The page says product data must be added before offer data can be created. A separate automatic path accepts a CSV URL under Automatic product data upload. This page documents the file you upload yourself. It does not document the Seller API.
What does that CSV have to contain before an offer can use it?
The page says products already in the catalogue are labelled with a unique EAN, and products that are not listed must be created. Mandatory attributes are the minimum. If they are not specified, the product data is invalid and will not be displayed. Optional attributes depend on the category. The examples the page gives are colour, length, and width. It also says optional attributes matter for variant creation. It does not print the header row, so the column names have to come from the category template you downloaded.
If a search in Offer management already shows the product, the manual steps say you can create the offer without new product data. If a manufacturer is not yet listed, those manual steps say to send the brand name through the contact form. That request is not a cell this CSV article tells you to invent.
How do you map a supplier list onto the category template?
- In Seller Portal, download the CSV product-data template for the category under Product Data Attributes. Record the category and the download date.
- In Golanto, choose Kaufland. Record that the file is product data, not offer data, plus the category, the sales channel, and the date.
- Map your columns onto the headers in that category template. Keep the EAN as text. The seller-university page does not print those header names.
- Upload from Offer Management, Manage Imports, Previous imports, Product Data Imports, Upload Product Data File, then Upload file.
- Read Reports, Information about your product data. EANs not found lists EANs with no product data on file when you listed offer data. Invalid items lists products you cannot offer because required information is missing. Import error in the product data file lists product data rejected for the file you select, regardless of sales channel.
Worked example
A supplier EAN is not yet a Kaufland category template
ean,name,colour
09501234567891,Travel mug, blueThese headings are a supplier sketch. Download the CSV for the category and type on that file’s headers. The English page says each catalogue product is identified by an EAN, and it names colour as an example of an optional attribute that depends on the category. It does not say these three words are the template headers. Keep the EAN as text. Product data is not the offer file.
What this check cannot establish
Golanto does not log in to Kaufland, choose the category, or upload the CSV. This page uses the English seller-university article reviewed on 1 November 2026. That article does not state the delimiter, the encoding, the header names, or a file-size cap. Those details have to come from the category template you downloaded. Report names on the page are EANs not found, Invalid items, Product data improvement export, and Import error in the product data file. Product data improvement export asks you to select a category and then shows attributes for the sales channel you selected. The translation steps say to create product data in the country’s national language, with German for Kaufland.de and Slovak for Kaufland.sk as the examples, and to upload offer data rather than product data on a target sales channel that should receive a translation. Those steps are not a global file format. This page does not document the Seller API.

Common questions
Can I create a Kaufland offer from the product-data CSV?
No. The page says product data differs from offer data, and product data has to be added before offer data. If the EAN is already in the catalogue, the manual steps say you can create the offer without new product data.
Which Kaufland report lists EANs that have no product data?
EANs not found, under Reports, Information about your product data. The page says that report lists EANs that could not be found when you listed offer data, which means no product data was already on file.
