Prepare a Lowe's Marketplace product import from the named template

Lowe's Marketplace seller documentation says new items go on a Product Import template, one row per SKU, and that Price Import and Offer Import are different files. The same page pairs logical names such as modelNum and title with business names such as Model Number and Product Title. It tells you to keep the column headers on the file you were given. It does not print that header row.

Which Lowe's Marketplace file is the product import?

The documentation is for Lowe's Marketplace sellers on the Mirakl seller portal, listing on Lowes.com. It says an approved seller receives a Business Development invitation email that includes the approved product import template, and a Seller Management Specialist email within 1 business day. Product uploads wait until shipping and returns are configured. After the store is Opened, the item-onboarding note recommends starting with the top 10 highest-GMV items. In the Mirakl back office, the documented steps are to open Templates and documents, download the Lowe's-specific product import template, fill the required attributes, and upload the completed Excel file.

The Excel Template Samples table names three files. Product Import loads new items with required and optional attributes and comes in the Business Development welcome email. Each row is one product. The page says to include the required attributes, leave column headers unchanged, leave unused optional fields blank, and save .csv, .xlsx, or .xml. Price Import is the table's name for a pricing update that leaves other item data alone, and the table says the Seller Management Specialist provides it. The sentences after the Product Import bullets, and before the Offer Import heading, say to use the file to update pricing for SKUs that have already been imported, and that fields typically include SKU, price, and discounts. Offer Import updates on-hand quantity. It says to set Quantity to 0 to pull an offer offline. A later section says the upload screen is Offers, then Import, and that a file with errors produces a downloadable feedback file of row-specific messages. This page does not quote those messages.

Which names does the Lowe's attribute table print?

The required-attributes section calls its table the minimum required fields for a product import, whether the upload is Excel or API. Each row has a logical name and a business name. Identity rows on that table are productCat and Product Category, modelNum and Model Number, brand and Brand, title and Product Title, and productDesc and Lowe's Product Description. Image rows are frontFacingImage and Front Facing Image, detailedProductViewTwo and Detailed Product View 2, and detailedProductViewThree and Detailed Product View 3. Barcode rows are barcodeType and Barcode Type, with acceptable values UPCA, UPCE, I2OF5, EAN13, and EAN8, and barcode and Barcode, with acceptable lengths of 8, 12, 13, and 14 digits. The Model Number cell says the value is required, unique to the product and barcode, and not editable after product creation. Brand must be a value from the Lowe's Master Brand List, and the page says Brand is included in the Product Title automatically. The same table continues through selling unit, lead time, packaging, dimensions, weight, country of origin, wood, hazmat, legal restrictions, warranty, three supplier bullets of 254 characters each, PFAS, and California Proposition 65. Some of those cells say they are conditionally required. The page also prints allowed and disallowed characters for Model Number, Product Title, and Lowe's Product Description, and it says the description rejects all capitals.

That table is not the same thing as the header row on the downloaded template. The template section says to preserve column headers exactly as delivered and not to rename or reorder them. A common-mistakes list warns about missing or invalid GTINs, blank categories, duplicate Seller SKUs, special characters in required fields, and placeholder images. The attribute table does not print a column named Seller SKU or GTIN. After items sync from Mirakl to Lowe's, the page says Model Number, Barcode, and Brand are locked on Lowe's systems, while price, inventory, descriptions, and images can still change, with images subject to moderation. A separate content-quality section asks for a minimum of 3 images on a white background, product only. A strikethrough promotion is an offer upload. The page says that upload includes discounted price, start date, and end date, that a promotion stays within 30 days, and that the discount is at least 5% or $20 off, whichever is lower. Its sample header is offer-sku, price, discount-price, discount-start-date, discount-end-date. If a start or end date is missing, the page says the discounted price displays without a strikethrough.

offer-sku, price, discount-price, discount-start-date, discount-end-date

How do you map a supplier file onto the Lowe's template you were given?

  1. Use the Product Import template from the Business Development welcome email, or download the Lowe's-specific product import template from Templates and documents after the store is Opened. Record whether the file in front of you is Product Import, Price Import, or Offer Import.
  2. In Golanto, choose Lowe's. Record Lowes.com and the date on the template. The mapper still opens on Amazon until you change the platform.
  3. Map supplier values onto the headers in that download. Leave those headers in the order they arrived. Leave an unused optional column blank. The logical names in the attribute table, including modelNum, title, and barcode, are the names that table prints. They are the labels you compare with the file, and the file's own header is the one you keep.
  4. Fill Model Number with a value the page allows to stay unique to that product and barcode. Use a Barcode Type from UPCA, UPCE, I2OF5, EAN13, and EAN8, and a Barcode of 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits. Read the character rules for title and description on the seller page before you paste marketing copy. The three image attributes on the table are Front Facing Image, Detailed Product View 2, and Detailed Product View 3.
  5. Save .csv, .xlsx, or .xml. The page says to use UTF-8 when the file is exported from Google Sheets. Upload it in the Mirakl portal. The validation section places that upload under Offers, then Import. Correct the feedback file Mirakl gives you. Price changes go on the Price Import file, and quantity goes on the Offer Import file. Quantity 0 is the page's instruction for taking an offer offline.

Worked example

A supplier row is not the Lowe's Product Import header

Inspect this record
sku,title,price,upc
SCONCE-19,Brass wall sconce,128.00,012345678905

These headings are a synthetic supplier sketch. The Lowe's documentation does not print them as the Product Import header. Its attribute table pairs title with Product Title, barcode with Barcode, and modelNum with Model Number. Price Import is a separate file, and the sentence there says fields typically include SKU, price, and discounts. The strikethrough sample on the page uses offer-sku, price, discount-price, discount-start-date, and discount-end-date. Download the template you were given and type on that header.

What this check cannot establish

Golanto does not log in to the Mirakl seller portal, download the Lowe's template, or assign a Product Category. This page uses the Lowe's Marketplace seller documentation at seller.lowes.com/mirakl-seller-documentation/, retrieved on 2 November 2026. That page names Product Import, Price Import, and Offer Import, and it pairs logical names with business names. It does not print the Product Import header row, so this page does not rebuild one. The words SKU, price, and discounts are the Price Import line that says fields typically include them. They are not a header copied from a downloaded Price Import file. The feedback file's error messages are not quoted because the page does not quote them. The common-mistakes list mentions Seller SKU and GTIN, and the attribute table does not print those headers. Character patterns for Model Number, Product Title, and description stay on the seller page rather than being retyped here. The legal section says the seller agreement and the restricted-items list are still coming, so this page does not supply either list. MiraklConnect and the Seller API are different paths. The page says there is no sandbox for the API. Documentation for other Lowe's seller systems is outside this Mirakl guide. This is Lowes.com marketplace guidance. It is one file for that portal, and a template from another Lowe's system stays on that system.

Common questions

Does Lowe's publish the Product Import column headers?

The seller documentation tells you not to change the column headers on the Product Import template from the welcome email or from Templates and documents. It does not print that header row. It does print a table of logical names and business names, including modelNum for Model Number, title for Product Title, and barcode for Barcode. Keep the header on the file you downloaded.

Can a Lowe's price or quantity update go on the Product Import file?

The Excel Template Samples section lists those as other files. Price Import updates pricing without altering other item data. Offer Import updates on-hand quantity, and Quantity 0 pulls an offer offline. A strikethrough promotion is an offer upload with discounted price, start date, and end date. The page's sample header for that upload is offer-sku, price, discount-price, discount-start-date, discount-end-date.
