Prepare a Rakuten Ichiba product CSV

Rakuten Ichiba, the Japanese marketplace at rakuten.co.jp, edits many product pages through a paid RMS service. The public pages say you upload a CSV by FTP to register, edit, or delete those pages. They do not publish the column list. This is the Ichiba store system, not Rakuten Kobo, Rakuten France, or Rakuten Germany.

Which Rakuten Ichiba service takes a product CSV?

The RMS overview calls it RMS商品一括登録サービス. It says a CSV uploaded by FTP to R-Storefront can edit, register, or delete a large number of pages and products. The fee page uses the name RMS商品一括編集機能 for the same kind of upload, and it lists a fixed monthly fee of 10,000 yen before tax. After you apply, that monthly basic fee is charged whether or not you use the service. The fee page also says the page itself is not the full price list.

The RMS Service Square column, published on 31 August 2017 and updated on 16 January 2026, says you apply from the RMS main menu, then 店舗様向け情報・サービス, then item 3, オプション機能利用申込・解約, then CSV商品一括編集, then 申込・解約. The column says 店舗運営Navi requires three kinds of software: one that edits a CSV, one that transfers a file to a server, and one that manages product information for more than one shop. It says software from outside Rakuten is acceptable. It also describes item Robot as a tool on Service Square, and it says the bulk-edit application comes first.

Which Rakuten downloads are a different file?

The fee page lists CSVデータダウンロードサービス as free. That download is for order and shipping data from R-Backoffice, including delivery slips and a link to your own sales system. The page says email addresses in that download are masked. It is not the product-page CSV. 楽天GOLD, also on that page, is free space for your own HTML, separate from R-Storefront, with an initial disk size of 100MB. The page says Rakuten does not support how you use GOLD. GOLD is not the product CSV either.

The store-operations manual index at navi-manual.faq.rakuten.net lists 商品一括編集 under product-page settings. The article body for that section did not come back in the copy retrieved on 1 November 2026. The three public pages above still say FTP. They do not name a host, a port, a folder, a file name, or a column.

How do you map a supplier file onto the Ichiba CSV?

  1. Confirm the shop is Rakuten Ichiba in RMS. A contract for Rakuten Kobo, Rakuten France, or Rakuten Germany is a different company and a different file.
  2. Apply for CSV商品一括編集 on the path the Service Square column names, and keep the fee page beside that decision. The monthly fee continues after you apply.
  3. Download the product CSV from the shop’s own RMS once the service is available. The public pages reviewed here do not provide that file.
  4. In Golanto, choose Rakuten Japan. Record Ichiba, the download date, and the URL of the file you actually downloaded. Map your columns onto the headers in that download.
  5. Transfer the finished CSV with the file-transfer software your RMS instructions name. The pages retrieved here say the transfer is FTP. They do not give the connection settings. Check the result inside RMS. Golanto does not send the file.

These headings are a supplier sketch. The Ichiba pages retrieved on 1 November 2026 say the product bulk edit is a CSV uploaded by FTP. They do not name these columns, and they do not name the columns in the RMS file. Keep the order-data download and Rakuten GOLD off this upload. Price in this sketch is a synthetic number, not a yen amount the fee page requires.

What this check cannot establish

Golanto does not apply for RMS, upload by FTP, or open the store-operations manual. This page uses the RMS overview, the Ichiba fee page, and the Service Square column, all retrieved on 1 November 2026. The column’s update date on the page is 16 January 2026. The manual index lists 商品一括編集, and the procedure article did not load. No column, error sentence, host, or folder is stated here, because those pages do not state them. A hometown-tax FAQ on a different Rakuten host was left out: it is not the Ichiba shop manual. Rakuten Kobo, Rakuten France, and Rakuten Germany are different companies. The free order CSV and Rakuten GOLD are different files on the same fee page.

Common questions

Is the Rakuten Ichiba product CSV free?

No. The fee page lists RMS商品一括編集機能 at 10,000 yen a month before tax, and it says the monthly basic fee is charged after you apply whether or not you use it. The free CSV on that page is the order and shipping download from R-Backoffice.

Can I copy a Rakuten France template into this Ichiba upload?

No. This page is the Japanese marketplace at rakuten.co.jp, using RMS. Rakuten France and Rakuten Germany are different companies. Their seller files are not the CSV these Ichiba pages describe.
