Add products with the Faire bulk uploader

Faire’s bulk uploader adds a spreadsheet of new products from Products, then Bulk upload. The help article reviewed here says the file can be CSV or XLSX, and that Faire, Etsy, WooCommerce, and Shopify catalog exports are supported. Editing products that already exist starts from a CSV you download from Faire, not from a blank template.

What belongs in a new Faire product upload?

The reviewed article says the upload should include a product name, a description, a SKU, a wholesale price, a retail price, links to images for each product, and a case size. Those are the facts the uploader asks for. They are not a promise that every column in the current template uses those words.

How can you tell the Faire template was recognized?

Use the latest Faire template. After that file is uploaded, Faire shows an Add Photos widget and says images are added individually. If the widget does not appear, Faire says the template was not recognized. Download a new template, move the values across, and upload that file. Do not keep submitting the copy the uploader ignored.

How do you edit products that are already on Faire?

  1. Download the products you want to change from Faire’s Products page. The bulk-uploader article says that edit uses a CSV download from Faire.
  2. In Golanto, choose Faire and record whether the file is a new-product template or an export of existing products, plus the download date.
  3. Map your columns onto the headers in that file. Image URLs or file names can go in the Product Images column, or you can use Add photos when you upload.
  4. Faire says the same image may be used for more than one product.
  5. Upload from Bulk upload. Read the summary of what will change, then confirm. Open a past upload if Faire reports a problem.

Worked example

A supplier row still has to land on Faire’s columns

Inspect this record
sku,name,wholesale,retail,case_size,image
MUG-04,Travel mug,9.00,18.00,6,https://example.com/mug.jpg

These headings are a supplier sketch. On an edit of products already on Faire, paste image URLs or file names into the Product Images column of the CSV you downloaded, or add the files with Add photos. Do not use a blank new-product template for that edit.

What this check cannot establish

Golanto does not upload to Faire, host photographs, or choose a wholesale price. This page uses Faire’s bulk-uploader article reviewed on 1 November 2026. It does not copy the template’s column dictionary or its photography rules. An Etsy, WooCommerce, or Shopify export is a source Faire says this uploader can read. It is not already a Faire file. This page does not cover every other way Faire accepts a catalog.

Common questions

Can I upload a CSV to Faire’s bulk uploader?

Yes, according to the bulk-uploader article reviewed here. It says to upload a CSV or XLSX, including a Faire template or a Faire, Etsy, WooCommerce, or Shopify catalog export. If you use a Faire template and Add Photos does not appear, download a new template. Faire did not recognize the file.

How do I change products that are already on Faire?

Download those products from Faire, edit that CSV, and upload it from Bulk upload. Faire shows a summary of the changes before you confirm. A blank template for new products is the wrong file for that edit.
