Prepare a Shopee mass upload template

A Shopee mass upload template is the Excel or CSV file from Seller Centre. Shopee’s Singapore seller education says product rows start at row five, the first four rows stay untouched, and variations of one listing share a Variation Integration No.

What is a Shopee mass upload template?

It is the file Shopee gives you for creating many listings at once. The Basic template covers ordinary fields across categories. The Advanced template, where your account has it, is for one main category and includes attributes such as brand. Another country’s Seller Centre can use a different file, so download the template from the market you sell in.

How do Shopee variations fit in the file?

Shopee’s reviewed guidance allows up to two variation types, such as size and colour. Each option is its own row. Rows for the same listing repeat the same Variation Integration No. A variation you cannot sell is recorded with stock 0, not by deleting the row. Images are URLs, and the reviewed article says those URLs belong on the options of the first variation type.

How do you map a supplier file onto that template?

  1. Download the Basic or Advanced template from the Shopee market you are listing in.
  2. Open Golanto’s template mapper and choose Shopee, then record the country, category, and template date.
  3. Upload your supplier CSV and the Shopee file. Match columns by meaning. Do not rename or delete the instruction rows in the Shopee file.
  4. Check that variation rows which belong together would share one integration number.
  5. Download the mapped file with one credit, then upload it in Seller Centre and read the Fail Reason column if Shopee rejects rows.

The shared product code is the clue that these rows belong together. The Shopee column that stores that group is named in the template you downloaded.

What this check cannot establish

Golanto does not submit the file to Shopee, assign category IDs, or decide which attributes a category requires. Mandatory and conditional fields are marked in the template from your Seller Centre. A Singapore article is not proof that every Shopee market uses the same columns.
